As of 2018, India is the world’s 7th (seventh) largest stock market by size, with a market capitalization of $2.08 trillion (Source: Bloomberg).  The Indian securities market is expected to continue growing exponentially and become the fifth large stock market by size by the year 2025. 

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”) is considered one of the premier securities’ market regulators in the world.  The dynamic and astuteregulation by SEBI is one of the key reasons for the increasing depth and vitality of the securities market in India.
